CNS Mini Virtual Conference Part 2: Pediatric Nutrition - From the womb to 1000 days!

The Canadian Nutrition Society will be hosting three mini virtual conferences being held between November 2020 and March 2021. Part 2 of the mini conference will focus on child nutrition in the first 1000 days. 

Objectives:

• Summarize the evidence of the role of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) in the role of shaping the intestinal microbiota and atopic sensitization in breastfed infants
• Explore the role of vitamin D in the first 1000 days
• Exam the relationship between vitamin D status and immune, anit-inflammation and respiratory functions in children
• Explain the various perspectives on fortifcation of infant formula and foods with HMOs and vitamin D
