Outcomes research in paediatric medicine, Epidemiologic methods

Professor Parkin is a paediatrician and scientist at The Hospital for Sick Children, as well as the research director of the SickKids Paediatric Outcomes Research Team. She is also an investigator with the Applied Research Group for Kids (TARGet Kids!). She conducts outcomes research including diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prevalent paediatric problems (e.g., injury, wheezing, dehydration and anemia) using epidemiologic methods such as controlled clinical trials, observational methods, diagnostic test methodology and measurement methodology.
